“The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.” – Robert Frost
Yes this is what defines me – Aldrin. I am not the one who has thrown his towel in the ring of the corporate world and taken for full time Travelling. I am still the regular guy who works in a cubicle and does the regular working hours and lives a simple life but with a passion for not just travelling but for life.
That said I have still found a way to go out exploring the 1.5 billion inches of what this beautiful planet has to offer – an inch at a time. Travel, Photography, Wildlife and Food have always been my passion – exploring little bits while I go, however, finding a Travel Crazy Partner in my wife – Amoli has fueled it exponentially.
Whenever we travel to any country we do see the very well-known places, attractions etc. which definitely are worth visiting. In addition, we do make it a point to go off the beaten track to explore a less known place, something less visited and in the process see the ‘Honest’ beauty of the country through the journey, culture, food and the people we meet. This is a rare insight into the Soul of a country.
With Earths Pilgrim – We are here to share our experiences as Travellers (not Tourists) trying to get the best of both worlds – Amazing Experiences and saving a buck where possible. We never intend to travel dirt cheap as that does involves a compromise of what we experience and absolutely don’t want that. At the same time, we are not Luxury Travellers – every time we visit a place the mantra is to make the place ‘home’ for the next few days and while at home, we are comfortable and having an awesome time but not staying in Luxury!
We all are pilgrims on this beautiful planet and sadl your stay here is time bound. The hard truth is that though most of us dream to travel indefinitely, but we are not keen/can’t just drop everything and get going. Hopefully, the wonderful experience we have shared on ‘Earths Pilgrim’ will inspire someone else to break the shackles of a regular life and explore the magnificence of our planet. Enjoy the Ride!
